EXPERIENCE
As a former teacher, school principal and counselor, I have over thirty years of experience working with children, teachers, support staff, and school parents. As a principal, I introduced several school programs at the elementary level including: a Full-day Kindergarten, Technology, Spanish, Instrumental Band, Development, Anti-bullying, and a Parent Pledge Program. I also introduced a House System at the Junior High level, based on the Harry Potter films, to encourage good conduct, homestudy and participation in school and community service. I began a school Parents Club to increase parent participation and build community. I have mentored principals and teachers, served on four different school boards and numerous professional committees, and have chaired school accreditation teams at the elementary level.
I am blessed with two wonderful sons who have taught me about patience, multi-tasking, the gift of unconditional love, and the importance of quality family time. How the years fly by!
Like most people, I've also learned from overcoming some of life's challenging obstacles. The knowledge and experience I have gained both professionally and personally, enables me to better serve my coaching clients.
